Xeo Quyt is located in My Hiep and My Long territory of Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province. Located more than 30 km from Cao Lanh city, with an area of ​​50 hectares, of which 20 hectares of melaleuca forest, this place was the revolutionary base of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee leading the people in the resistance war against the US from 1960 to 1975.Recognized as a national historical relic in 1992, Xeo Quyt currently has about 170 species of plants with 158 wild species and 12 tree species. The fauna has 200 wild species including 7 species of frogs, 22 species of reptiles, 73 species of fish, 91 species of birds and 7 species of mammals. Especially here, there are 13 rare and precious animals recorded in the Vietnam Red Book such as pythons, cobras, box turtles, broad-billed lemongrass birds and common otters...Today, this place has been planned to be preserved and developed into a famous historical relic that attracts tourists. By the end of 2012, there were more than 50,000 visitors to Xeo Quyt. The number of visitors to visit reached 123% of the plan in 2012.
